Soils
The Breite plateau is entirely covered by a double layer: a base gravel layer covered by a clay layer, containing numerous concretions of iron and manganese and fully levigated calcium. The soil of the table that the Breite plateau is set on is rich in clay and has a high level of debasification, which makes it very compact and almost impermeable.
