The Breite Reserve is located in the center of Romania, on the Transylvanian plateau, at the following coordinates:

Latitude: 46°11.033’ South – 46°13.058’ North
Longitude: 24°44.877’ West – 24°46.428’ East

The altitude of the Breite plateau is 504 – 530 meters from sea level, increasing progressively from North to South. The plateau is long and narrow, measuring 4 km from one end to the other. The North end of the plateau is very close to Sighişoara.

The access on the plateau can be made by foot from Sighişoara, mounting from Corneşti neighborhood over the Dealul Visii hill (Himmelswiese), or from Ana Ipătescu neighborhood over the “Groape” hill.

Access can also be made by car from the DN 14 highway that links Sighişoara to Mediaş. On the left side of the road, 4 km away from Sighişoara, you will find the “Hula Daneş” entry from which a 2 km forestry road mounts up on the Breite.
